Integrated Manager in Training Intern

Integrated Management in Training candidates should have a minimum of two (2) summers of hospitality experience and be pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts Management or Hospitality Management. This role primarily involves overseeing Tokeneke’s quick-service Snack Bar operations and its staff, encompassing both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) functions, while collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director.

 

Initially, the candidate will rotate through various BOH roles (garde manger, grill, fry, expo) and FOH responsibilities as a snack bar attendant. This rotation will provide comprehensive knowledge of all operational aspects.

 

Key responsibilities after this initial phase include:

  • Supervising BOH and FOH staff.
  • Ensuring food preparation and side work are completed.
  • Overseeing food quality and consistency during service.
  • Assisting with inventory management.
  • Ensuring positive member interactions.
  • Resolving operational issues.
  • Facilitating smooth and organized daily operations as a liaison between FOH and BOH.

 

This hands-on exposure to both BOH and FOH operations will help develop supervisory skills and provide experience in managerial tasks such as scheduling, enforcing safety and sanitation protocols, conducting inventory and managing costs.
