Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Job description:

We are looking for two, enthusiastic marketing interns to join our marketing team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. Social media experience is helpful.

Do you have strong skills in Social Media, for posting to TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, X and Instagram? Do you enjoy taking photographs and videos of wildlife and nature? We have a position available for gathering content as well as editing photos and videos and creating new content for our social media feeds daily. Learn the ins and outs of an established social media campaign and get the chance to test new content with a large audience.

Having a background in Videography and Photography is preferable along with having samples of previous, edited video and photo work. Interviewed candidates should be prepared to edit a video in real time or captain a photograph or propose an original idea. Everything from photo posts to reels, youtube channel, to tiktok, google my business to pinterest. We try to cover as many forms of social media as possible.

Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing as well as small business and entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities

• Riding a boat, seasick landlubbers need not apply
• Video Editing and Photo Editing Skills must be demonstrated (whatever your prefered method and process)
• Be a leader in Social Media Marketing including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest etc through Social Media Posts and Story updates
• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, email, google adwords, FB adwords, and bing)
• Learn the duties of crew member, photographer, bartender, receptionist, parking attendant and various other areas of working on a boat
• Manage and update company email lists and prepare campaigns
• Increased opportunities for income with special events
• Weekend availability as most specialty cruises take place on weekends

Skills

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)
• Preferred to own camera or drone, also available company camera and phone for marketing
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Open and personable, enjoys being around people and communicating and interacting with others.
