Hardware Electrical Engineer

As a Hardware Electrical Engineer at Henway Technologies, you will design and develop custom electronics solutions tailored to customer requirements. This is a hands-on role involving schematic capture, PCB layout, electronic testing, debugging, and direct collaboration with both internal teams and customers. You will take ownership of project requirements and guide designs through each phase of the development lifecycle, ensuring smooth transitions between engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Design schematics and perform PCB layout
  • Create and maintain detailed project specifications and documentation
  • Review hardware designs (both your own and peer designs)
  • Estimate development complexity and timelines for new projects/new phases
  • Conduct electronic testing and troubleshooting
  • Develop and document test plans & procedures
  • Support design of test fixtures and assist in building/maintaining equipment
  • Participate in design reviews and engineering team discussions
  • Attend client meetings and provide technical insights
  • Communicate technical information clearly across internal and external teams
  • Support Henway’s quality and organizational processes
  • Optional but valued: contribute to firmware development

Qualifications

  • Electrical engineering degree
  • Must have experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software
  • Able to use oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and multimeters
  • Able to troubleshoot circuit boards
  • Able to perform their own PCB rework. Experience with SMT Rework (with leads down to 0.5 mm pitch such as QFP, TSSOP, MSOP, etc. required, passives down to 0402)
  • Firmware development is a plus

  • Annual Salary: $65,000 - $100,000/year
