Milestone Behavioral Health is looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
In this role, you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents to help them build important social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Services take place in the child’s home, school, and community settings, allowing you to make a real impact where children spend their everyday lives.
This position is ideal for college students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience working with children while preparing for careers in psychology, counseling, social work, or education.
What You'll Do
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will work directly with a child to support behavioral and emotional growth.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide 1:1 support and behavioral interventions based on a treatment plan
• Work with children in homes, schools, and community settings
• Help children practice skills such as emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviors
• Use behavioral strategies and proactive interventions to support progress toward treatment goals
• Support parents and school staff by modeling effective behavioral strategies
• Track and document behavioral progress during sessions
• Communicate updates to supervisors and members of the treatment team
• Assist with de-escalation and behavior management strategies when needed

Qualifications

Education Requirements
• 60 college credits (Milestone provides the required 30-hour BHT training)
OR
• Less than 60 college credits
Applicants will complete 30–40 hours of required BHT/RBT training in accordance with Pennsylvania state guidelines.
Training is provided by Milestone Behavioral Health.
