Process Engineering Intern

FrieslandCampina Ingredients is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support manufacturing operations, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives at our production facility. This internship offers hands-on experience in a real manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams on impactful projects.

What You’ll Do
As a Process Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure to both daily operations and longer-term improvement projects, including:
• Supporting production teams with process troubleshooting and optimization activities
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, throughput, and waste reduction
• Supporting safety, quality, and environmental initiatives as a technical resource
• Helping maintain and update process documentation such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs
• Collaborating with teams across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, R&D, and Engineering
What We Ask
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field
• Strong interest in manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, plant-based environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team setting

Team Details
You will be part of the site engineering team at FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America, working closely with Operations and other technical functions. This internship provides broad exposure to how engineering supports manufacturing performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a 24/7 production environment.
