Position Title: Development Manager
Status: Full-Time
Location: Primarily based out of our office in Alexandria, VA. Together We Bake values connection and community. The Development Manager may work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, but should be available to come to the office or attend local events as needed to support team collaboration, donor engagement, and program visibility.
Pay Rate: $60,000with benefits including medical, dental, and retirement account.

How You'll Help
The Development Manager plays a key role in advancing TWB’s mission by executing fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and development operations. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven communicator who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-centered environment and wants to make a tangible impact on the lives of women in our community.
The Development Manager will manage key fundraising initiatives and campaigns, maintain accurate and insightful donor data in Salesforce, support events, and help ensure every donor feels seen, appreciated, and connected to TWB’s mission.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building meaningful relationships with supporters who share our vision and want to help create lasting opportunities for women rebuilding their lives. The ability to engage donors with empathy and clarity, clearly communicating impact and inviting meaningful investment, is key.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising &Campaign Management
- Lead the execution of TWB’s core fundraising campaigns(Spring2ACTion, Empowerment Breakfast, Giving Tuesday, End-of-Year)
- Partner with the Director of Development to coordinate campaign planning, timelines, and deliverables across teams
- Write donor communications, including appeals, acknowledgements, and impact stories
- Support gift cultivation and stewardship efforts, including prospect research and meeting preparation
- Meet Key Performance Indicators tied to fundraising opportunities
Donor Data & CRM Management
- Using Salesforce or similar CRM, add, update, and analyze donor data and produce reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records, ensuring data integrity and consistency
- Generate and analyze donor reports to inform strategy and measure progress
- Support segmentation and tracking of giving patterns to strengthen donor retention and growth
Events & Stewardship
- Provide some administrative support for TWB events, including sponsor outreach, ticketing, and post-event follow-up
- Collaborate with the team to deliver meaningful donor experiences and recognition efforts
- Design and implement stewardship touchpoints that express gratitude and deepen relationships
Community Engagement
- Actively represent Together We Bake at community, business, and civic events to increase visibility, strengthen partnerships, and build authentic relationships that advance the organization’s mission.
- Proactively network with local businesses, chambers of commerce, civic leaders, and affinity groups to identify and cultivate potential donors, sponsors, and advocates.
- Translate community connections into engagement opportunities—guiding individuals and organizations from initial interest to their first donation or partnership with TWB.

Qualifications
We value lived and professional experience that demonstrates your ability to build trust, organize details, and tell compelling stories.
- 3 - 5 years of experience working in nonprofits, membership organizations or sales
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell stories that inspire action
- Experience working with Salesforce (or similar CRM/database systems) preferred
- Experience working with fundraising platforms like One Cause and Fundraise Up
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- A self-starter who thrives in a small,dynamic, fast paced mission-driven environment
- Committed to asset-based language and storytelling that centers women’s strengths and potential
