Test Prep Coach - Math or Verbal
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual classes in either Math or Verbal
- Using Blue Ivy curriculum, plan classes, utilizing varied teaching strategies to address student’s individual needs
- Teach both academic content and test taking strategies
- Collaborate with Academic and Operations team members
- Complete class summaries, study plans and progress reports in a timely manner
- Maintain consistent communication with Director regarding progress of each student; share concerns and seek support as needed
- Participate in ongoing trainings, team and individual supervisory meetings
- Contribute to development of program content and curriculum
- Develop effective relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries with a wide range of students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Native level English
- Experience taking or teaching the SAT preferred but not required
- Strong Verbal or Math skills, as demonstrated on a mock exam
- Willingness to be trained in curriculum and strategy and commitment to master the material through independent study
Schedule:
- Five days a week, including Saturday or Sunday
- Availability for 24-30 hours of class per week plus additional meetings and planning time- Classes typically take place from 2:30-9:30 CST during the week and hours are flexible on the weekends.
Location: Remote (depending upon coach location, there may be some for in-person activity)
Compensation:
- Commensurate with qualifications and experience, starting at $300 MXN/hour
- End of year bonus
