About the Project
Boston Investor Visa Group is a Boston-based initiative focused on helping international students and their families understand U.S. investor visa pathways—particularly the E-2 visa—through investment in local small businesses. Our work sits at the intersection of immigration, entrepreneurship, and community-based economic development.
Internship Overview
We are seeking a motivated, bilingual student intern with strong communication skills and fluency in Chinese (Mandarin preferred) to help design and execute a targeted social media communication plan. This role is ideal for a student interested in communications, international business, public policy, marketing, or immigration-adjacent work.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a social media communication plan targeting international students and families
Create written content for platforms such as WeChat, LinkedIn, Instagram, and WhatsApp
Translate and adapt messaging between English and Chinese for cultural relevance
Assist in shaping brand voice, messaging themes, and outreach strategies
Conduct light research on international student communities in Greater Boston
Track engagement and provide recommendations for improving reach and clarity
Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student (Summer 2026)
Fluent in Chinese and English (written and verbal)
Strong writing and communication skills
Interest in marketing, communications, international business, immigration, or entrepreneurship
Familiarity with social media platforms (especially those used by international audiences)
Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a startup-style environment
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with social media content creation or analytics
Familiarity with WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED), or international student organizations
Graphic design or basic video editing skills
