Director Of Studio Operations

Director of Studio Operations

Electric RAYS Tanning
$35,000–$40,000 per year (DOE)
Full-Time | In-Person | Southern Idaho–Based

Electric RAYS Tanning is looking for a hands-on, highly visible operations leader to join our corporate team as our Director of Studio Operations. This is a field-based, multi-location leadership role for someone who thrives on being in the studios, traveling between locations, and making a direct impact on the success of every team and every client experience.

This role exists to ensure our studios are open, fully staffed, supported, and operating at their best—every single day.

About the Role:

The Director of Studio Operations is a key member of our corporate leadership team and serves as the primary operational leader for our studio locations. This is not a remote position and requires a regular, scheduled presence in various studios Monday through Friday.

This role serves as the connective leader across studios, ensuring consistent staffing, standards, policies, and client experience company-wide, and plays a direct role in the success and daily performance of every location. You’ll work closely with Studio Managers, provide hands-on training and support, and step in when needed to ensure coverage, consistency, and an exceptional client experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $35,000–$40,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Holiday pay
  • 50% employer-covered medical coverage
  • Free service membership
  • Employee discounts on products
  • A fun, fast-paced sales environment within the wellness industry
  • Opportunities for growth and career development
  • A workplace culture where you’re treated like family, not just an employee

Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time, salaried position
  • Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for staffing or operational needs
  • Based in Southern Idaho, with regular travel to Northern Idaho studios
  • Company vehicle provided

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Ensuring studios are fully staffed and operating 100% of scheduled hours
  • Willing to own studio schedules end-to-end, including resolving call-outs and staffing gaps without escalation to other corporate staff
  • Taking full ownership of studio schedules and staffing emergencies
  • Stepping in to cover shifts when staffing gaps cannot be filled
  • Leading, supporting, and holding Studio Managers accountable
  • Providing hands-on training for new hires and ongoing coaching for managers
  • Enforcing company policies, procedures, and operational standards consistently across all Electric RAYS locations in Southern and Northern Idaho
  • Maintaining a visible, supportive presence in studios
  • Supporting client experience and resolving escalated concerns when needed
  • Ensuring accurate and timely bank deposits and adherence to cash-handling procedures
  • Communicating regularly with the Founder/CEO regarding studio performance and needs
  • Assisting with new studio openings and other operational initiatives as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • A confident, calm leader who can be both supportive and authoritative
  • Someone who is black-and-white with standards while still being respectful and encouraging
  • A strong problem solver who stays composed under pressure
  • A self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what needs to be done
  • Comfortable being hands-on and stepping into studio roles when needed
  • Prior experience leading teams or managing multi-location operations is strongly preferred

If you’re looking for a leadership role where you can be hands-on, make an impact company wide, and feel part of a close-knit team? We’d love to meet you!
