Summary:
As an Account Analyst, you will be part of a structured training program designed to build foundational knowledge of the Property & Casualty insurance industry. You will support Account Managers and Account Executives in delivering exceptional client service, managing daily workflows, and completing operational tasks. Upon completion of the training program, you will transition to an Account Management team to continue your professional growth within NFP.
This is a full-time position, ideally based in Vermont, Albany, Plainview, or New York City.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Client & Carrier Support
- Support Account Managers and Account Executives with day-to-day servicing of client accounts.
- Assist with client and carrier requests by gathering information, preparing documentation, and following up as needed.
- Help cultivate and maintain positive client relationships.
Document Preparation & Processing
- Prepare ID cards, certificates of insurance, ACORD applications, binders, and cancellations.
- Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, and other documents.
- Maintain lists of open items and ensure timely completion of outstanding tasks.
Policy Review & Compliance
- Analyze policies and endorsements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Follow up with carriers for outstanding endorsements, corrections, and policy updates.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Participate in special projects to deepen industry knowledge.
- Support internal team processes and maintain accurate documentation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to be coached and mentored.
Preferred
- Exposure to or interest in P&C Commercial Lines.
- Insurance, Risk Management, or related coursework or training.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred but not required; internships or coursework in insurance, risk management, or business are a plus.
Certificates & Licenses
- A Property & Casualty license will be required upon completion of the training program; NFP will support licensing efforts.

The base salary range for this position is $43,000 – $62,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
