PreMed Graduate Student

My name is SSG Gibson; I'm an Army Medical Department Recruiter (AMEDD). I am here to offer you an opportunity to be a Medical Doctor in the Army under the Medical Health Professions Scholarship Program We are constantly updating our programs and incentives to remain competitive with the civilian employment sector, and I will be happy to help get you updated on our current program and incentives.  BENEFITS:

1. A scholarship that will pay FULL TUITION to any accredited medical school that you are accepted to within the United States. 

2. Books, Supplies, Equipment and Most Academic Fees are covered.

3. Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant with full pay and allowance during Basic Officer's Leadership Course.

4. Monthly Stipend over $2,999 (over $35,000 a year as a premed student)

5. $20,000.00 signing Bonus with a 4-year active-duty obligation. 

6. Promotion to the rank of Captain after you complete your Medical School.

7. Practicing at your fullest potential (not limited by what a patient’s insurance will allow).

8. You will make more money in Army Residency Program than Civilian Residency Program. Over 45 specialties

9. Must be US Citizen, 3.2 or higher GPA, 500 or higher on the MCAT. 

10. Apply to the scholarship while applying to Medical School. 

11. Be given the opportunity to speak with an Army doctor that went through HPSP and completed residency with the Army.

 

Also, if you are currently attending medical school, you are still able to apply for the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) if you are interested, we have HPSP for 3yr, 2 yr, or 1yr HPSP. 

 

We also have a variety of other medical programs if the above program does not fit with your future plans.

MINIMUM PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • MCAT Score of 500 or more and line scores of 124 or more (waiver for scores of 496-499 and/or one line score falling below 124)
  • Bachelors from an accredited program with a GPA of 3.2+
  • U.S. citizenship 
  • Medically qualified (waivers can be submitted)
