Business Development Intern
Finz is a New York based fintech building an AI-powered finance platform for small businesses. We help business operators make better cash flow and capital decisions by connecting to their core financial systems.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Intern to support outbound growth and early-stage sales efforts. This role focuses on research, outreach, and pipeline support. You will work closely with the founder to help identify the right prospects, initiate conversations, and keep the pipeline organized.
Responsibilities
- Research and build targeted prospect lists (business owners, operators, partners).
- Draft first-touch outreach messages for email and LinkedIn.
- Support outbound campaigns with clean follow-ups and tracking.
- Maintain CRM hygiene, including notes, stages, and next steps.
- Qualify inbound interest and help schedule calls.
- Track weekly activity and response metrics.
Requirements
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfort with repetition and outbound work.
- Good judgment in identifying relevant prospects.
- High attention to detail and follow-through.
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Google Sheets, HubSpot, or similar.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in sales, recruiting, fundraising, or outbound research.
- Interest in fintech, startups, or small business operations.
