What will you do every day?
- Provide administrative assistance such as processing and validating various requests, entering data, filing paperwork and online requests, maintaining office records with data entry, filing, scanning or shredding.
- Provide excellent customer service by phone, email, or in person, to a variety of guests including new and returning students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- Lift, move, and deliver packages across campus.
- Work on special projects assigned by various staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with veteran and military‑connected student populations.
- Prior experience in office administration, customer service, or a campus service unit.
- Knowledge of VA Education Benefits (e.g., Chapter 33, Chapter 35, Hazlewood, etc.) Not required but helpful.
- Experience using student information systems, document‑imaging systems, etc.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced office.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills when working with military‑connected students, families, faculty, and staff.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, web browsers).
- Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately and consistently.
- Dependability and punctuality in maintaining scheduled work hours.
- Professional communication skills—both written and verbal.
Other Considerations: This position is stationed in JCK 640. Successful workers selected for this position may also be considered for employment in future semesters. The position begins this spring 2026 semester.

Payrate Determination: All student employees begin at the starting pay rate of $10.00.
