After‑School LEGO Robotics Instructor (Elementary)
Type: Part‑Time Contract
Pay: $35–$40/hr
Location: San Jose, CA

Overview

Join our after‑school enrichment team as a LEGO Robotics Instructor! You’ll lead fun, hands‑on sessions that spark curiosity, creativity, and problem‑solving through robotics and project‑based learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, 60‑minute weekly robotics classes every Wednesday from 12:25-1:25 PM using structured lesson plans.
  • Manage class logistics: transport, set up, and pack away robotics kits.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive environment for students of all skill levels.
  • Demonstrate robot building and programming techniques; coach students step by step.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure all equipment is well‑cared for.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (camps, classrooms, or after‑school programs).
  • Familiarity with LEGO Robotics platforms (Mindstorms, EV3, NXT, or LEGO League).
  • Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Dependable and punctual, with availability for the entire fall session.
  • A genuine passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners.
