Status: Summer 2026, on-site
Purpose:
Quality Engineering – Intern to support the following Quality departments:
- Quality Systems, Governance, and Compliance
- Inclusive Administration, Procedures (Quality Management System – QMS), Special Processes (including Non-Destructive Testing - NDT), and Audits
- Quality Assurance
Skills:
- Motivated, high energy, doesn’t wait around for the next challenge or task
- Able to organize and problem solve
- Able to prioritize
- Performs due diligence analysis to identify next steps
- Identifies where possible the pros and cons and suggests recommendations (to the level of experience gained)
- Knows when to ask questions by balancing up-front analysis while not creating a “waiting” road-block condition
- Knowing how to find information and identifying essential information
- Understanding written sentences and paragraph in work related documents
- Communication – Both written and verbal
- Fluent with Microsoft Office tools, inclusive Macros and Visual Basic
- Knowledge / use of PC-DMIS considered an asset
- Interpret drawings – 2D and Catia or equivalent 3D – and related requirements
- Interpret specifications: Customer, Military, Federal, Regulatory, Industry (ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap), etc.
- Follow written Engineering and Quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Other tasks/duties/responsibilities as assigned
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Familiarity with outside service processes and their effects on a manufacturing plan
Education/Experience:
- In-progress Bachelor of Science in Engineering or in-progress Technology equivalent degree in: Civil, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, or Aerospace (Preferred)
- Areas of Focus (any combination of)
- Quality Engineering including Systems, Governance, and Compliance to Industry and Regulatory specifications and requirements
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Operations
- Manufacturing Planning
- Testing support for Quality non-conformances (DMRs)
- New Technology
- Machining in a related shop environment
- Processing in a related shop environment
- Assembly in a related shop environment
- Areas of Focus (any combination of)
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Safety and 6S Functions:
- Promote a safe, clean and organized work environment.
- Wear required safety equipment (safety glasses, ear protection, rubber gloves, etc.)
- Report all work related injuries to supervisor as soon as possible.
- Notify management when condition does not comply.
