Quantum Computing Intern
The Quantum Computing Intern will support research, analysis, and development efforts in quantum technologies relevant to next-generation computing, cybersecurity, and advanced data analytics. This internship offers hands-on exposure to quantum algorithms, simulation platforms, and emerging hardware environments, helping advance mission-focused innovation in secure, high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in research and modeling of quantum algorithms for optimization, encryption, and AI applications.
Support the development and testing of quantum simulation models using platforms such as IBM Qiskit, Google Cirq, or AWS Braket.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and data analytics teams to explore quantum-safe encryption and post-quantum cryptography solutions.
Analyze system performance, run simulations, and document experimental results.
Participate in technical briefings and contribute to R&D reports and presentations.
Stay current with trends in quantum computing and related emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Preferred Skills:
Basic understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra.
Familiarity with Python and at least one quantum SDK (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar).
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a research-driven environment.
Excellent communication and technical writing ability.
