Police Officer

Base Annual Salary Range: $86,088 – $118,828 (New Contract),Base Hourly Rate Range: ($41.23/hr. - $56.91/hr.) Plus, education incentives, longevity, stipends and shift differentials

The Town of Tisbury is seeking individuals for the position of Patrol Officer Academy training is not required, but preference will be given to those who have already successfully graduated from a full-time MPTC Academy. MPTC Bridge Certification considered. Lateral transfer experience will be considered in determining the Pay Step when hired. Those who have not yet attended the academy, if selected through our hiring process, will be sent to train at an upcoming MPTC Academy. While attending the police academy, recruit officers will be paid the current Step 1 pay scale along with full health and dental benefits.

An updated resume should also be included with the submitted application. The application submission process will remain open until all positions are filled. Appointment of the final candidates will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including criminal, motor vehicle and credit record checks, as well as a PT Test (MPTC Academy Standards), PAT Test, physical exam, psychological exam, drug screening, and thorough background investigation.
