Secondary English Language Arts Teacher

- A teacher’s responsibilities include managing a classroom, communicating and teaching one or more subjects clearly and within the bounds of school procedures. They must also monitor each student’s progress and provide extra mentorship as needed.
- Specifcally, as an English Language Arts (ELA)a teacher you'll be designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans that adhere to national standards and school guidelines for reading, writing, and grammar in grades 7–12.
- Teaching students foundational and advanced skills in grammar, composition, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and literary analysis.
- Selecting, teaching, and discussing literature that is age-appropriate and aligned with the mission and values of the school.
