Budget & Reimbursement Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Budget & Reimbursement Analyst is to support and perform analyses of financial matters related to budget, reimbursement, and cost reporting. This position requires excellent analytical ability, financial and accounting skills, good judgment & decision-making, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate Federal/State rules and regulations into practice. 

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination of budgeting functions, analysis, and preparation of the annual budget
  • Forecasts monthly operational goals
  • Supports the Operations team by updating budgets as needed
  • Assists in the review & evaluation of cost report tentative settlements, rate reviews, final settlements, and audit adjustments
  • Models various operational scenarios to understand related reimbursement impacts
  • Provides information for Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and audits
  • Keeps up to date on each state’s reimbursement requirements to ensure optimal reimbursement
  • Performs special projects and duties related to reimbursement, budgets, research, and forecasting as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) or Management Reporter is preferred but not required
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet project deadlines
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment

  • Full-Time
  • Shifts Needed: Day Shift
  • Wage will be discussed
