Applied AI Intern
We are looking for summer interns (2) to join the Applied AI / Data Science team at Silver Lake. Silver Lake is a global leader in technology investing with over $100B in assets under management.
You will work with a mentor for the program's duration, researching how the latest developments in AI/ML can be used to drive immediate business outcomes for our portfolio companies. Your work will be delivered in the form of presentations and prototypes to C-level executives.
The ideal candidate:
- Can identify how businesses leverage data to achieve business outcomes: specifically, the problems they solve and the methods, tools, and platforms they employ. Exposure to use of AI to solve business problems in sales & marketing, customer success, finance,
- Is familiar with the latest in Applied AI (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras, HuggingFace, langchain, llamaindex, DSPy), data science and coding tools, and Public Cloud AI / ML / data offerings (Sagemaker, Vertex AI, Azure, Bedrock, BigQuery)
- Can research and execute analytics projects, tell data stories, and derive insights from data.
- Has excellent written and visual communication skills.

Who:
Students enrolled in data or data analytics programs – CS department, data analytics, MFE program. Ideally, they will have prior experience as a data scientist or as a strategy consultant.
