Legal Report Proofreading and Admin

Overview: Sutton Pierce is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of medical reports prepared by doctors and other experts before they are delivered to attorneys' offices. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the high standards of quality and professionalism that our clients expect.

This is a full-time, remote position, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, exceptional editing skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred relevant backgrounds include Editing, Legal Administration, Medical Scribing and other similar backgrounds. 

A Quality Assurance assessment will be part of the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Review:

  • Perform thorough quality assurance reviews of medical reports, correspondences, and addendums
  • Proofread and edit reports for grammar, punctuation, syntax, medical terminology, and content accuracy
  • Format all reports per Sutton Pierce standards
  • Ensure reports are clear, concise, and supported by evidence-based rationales
  • Verify compliance with client instructions, state mandates, and company standards
  • Cross-check and confirm all relevant information within reports against Sutton Pierce database
  • Flag any inconsistencies within reports based on database information
  • Confirm the accuracy of provider credentials and scope of expertise

Administrative & Coordination:

  • Follow up with experts on report submissions based on confirmation letters from Case Managers
  • Organize and label all incoming QA emails and add due dates to new report threads
  • Log all new reports in SP general database and QA database
  • Provide weekly updates to Case Managers with current follow-up lists
  • Update Case Managers and QA team regarding status of incoming reports
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints and quality assurance issues
  • Provide insights to management on consultant quality and compliance

Qualifications:

  • College degree, preferably in English, Literature, Social/Medical Sciences or related field
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Paralegal, or in administrative support/document formatting
  • Familiarity with medical or legal report structures
  • Basic understanding of legal documentation

Pay: 26.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Work Location: Remote
