Mascot Performer

IU Indianapolis Undergraduate Students ONLY!

Do you love to perform and are passionate about school spirit? We’d love to have you join our Mascot Performance Team with Jawz and Jazzy!!! 

Ideal candidates for this position are outgoing, like to perform/act, are a team player, and are organized and efficient with their time management/communication skills. The ideal candidate also has flexible availability.  

NOTE: Please note that the mascots perform both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) and during the week and on the weekends.  

Please indicate your height on your resume in your header; there are height minimums and maximums for mascot attire. 

HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS FOR JAZZY: 5’5” - 5’7” 

HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS FOR JAWZ: 5’8” - 5’10” 

Through your work in this position, students will become acquainted with the following profiles: 

- Communicator: IU Indianapolis students will learn how to be better communicators by building relationships with peers. Individuals in this position will improve their active listening skills by interacting without words. 

- Problem Solver: IU Indianapolis students will collaborate with peers and professionals across campus to provide better ways to create campus spirit opportunities for students. This position will teach students how to make decisions quickly using problem solving and collaborating with peers. 

- Community Contributor: IU Indianapolis students will gain knowledge about other cultures through interacting with members of the community.
