Public Policy and Administration Intern

Are you a public policy or public administration student ready to move from theory to impact? Our organization is seeking a motivated Public Policy and Administration Intern who is eager to apply academic learning to real-world governmental and administrative challenges.

You will work closely with administrative leadership and professional staff on a policy- or administration-focused project aligned with your academic background and career goals. Interns are encouraged to bring a specific policy issue, administrative process, or research interest drawn from their coursework, and our team will provide mentorship, access to data, and practical insight to help translate classroom concepts into meaningful outcomes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with policy analysis, program evaluation, or administrative process reviews
  • Collaborate with staff to gather data, review policies, and assess operational practices
  • Observe governmental and administrative functions to gain applied experience
  • Interprets administrative policy and decisions as explained and directed.
  • Prepare written reports, policy briefs, or presentations summarizing findings and recommendations

 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or a closely related field
  • Strong research and policy analysis skills, with the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information
  • Proficiency in written communication, including drafting reports, summaries, and policy briefs
  • Ability to organize information, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines
  • Comfortable using standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately
  • Initiative, curiosity, and interest in public service and governance

 

This internship runs from June 4 to July 30, 2026. Interns will work up to 25 hours per week, offering a structured and hands-on experience.
