Sedan Floral, Inc. is a 3rd generation, family-business, started in 1948. We are a wholesale grower specializing in annuals and bedding plants. Sedan Floral, Inc. is the largest greenhouse in Kansas and Oklahoma. Located in Southeast Kansas, we are approximately 80 miles from Tulsa, 160 miles from Oklahoma City and 100 miles from Wichita. Currently, we are seeking a full-time Greenhouse Grower to join our team. Sedan Floral, Inc. has a diverse array of opportunities for different interests and expertise (i.e., plug, propagation, finish, etc.). Additionally, you will…

• Be responsible for managing your own greenhouse(s) (including but not limited to: irrigation, temperature, lighting, fertilization [calculation of amounts, percentages, portions; correct application techniques], insect/pest management, crop timing, plant placement)

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of growing procedures/techniques, spray records, plant trials, etc.

• Have the opportunity to work with different people on propagation, seed sowing, transplant and production (depending on interest and skillset)

• Design, conduct and document trials/experiments to evaluate new crops and/or crop improvements

• Attend industry related tradeshows/educational seminars

• Acquire an increased knowledge of horticulture and business

 Required Qualifications:

• Plant and greenhouse knowledge desired, but not required

• Bachelor’s Degree; new graduates are encouraged to apply

• Pesticide Applicator License (or willing to obtain)
