Job Description

QGC seeks an entry-level Marketing Intern to amplify our “People Forward” brand across external social-media channels and internal communications. The role will plan, create, curate, and schedule multimedia content; monitor performance metrics; and reinforce a consistent brand voice across QGC’s growing family of companies. The ideal candidate is a digital native who combines creativity with data-driven discipline and thrives in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Social & Digital
    • Manage day-to-day posting for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc. using platforms and systems provided by the company.
    • Draft copy, source imagery/video, and maintain an approval workflow
    • Track KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR) and provide dashboards with insights and next steps.
    • Stay current on platform algorithm changes and emerging trends; recommend new tactics and platforms.
  • Internal Branding
    • Support production of digital signage and intranet stories.
    • Help maintain brand-asset libraries (logos, templates, style guide) and police brand compliance across business units.
  • Content Development
    • Capture behind-the-scenes photos and short-form video at corporate events; edit for posting.
    • Source thought-leadership articles or quotes from executives; draft copy for website news posts etc. using QForward.
    • Coordinate with external agencies or freelancers on larger design/animation projects.


 

  • Project & Administrative
    • Maintain a content calendar aligned to company needs and philanthropic events.
    • Own marketing request-ticket tracking and ensure timely follow-through.
    • Support budgeting and invoice reconciliation for paid social campaigns and branded swag orders.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field — or equivalent internship/coop experience.
  • 0-2 years managing branded social-media accounts (can include internship work).
  • Familiarity with social-media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer) and basic analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft365 and one design tool (Canva, Adobe Express, or Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills; portfolio or writing samples required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and Google Analytics4.
  • Basic video-editing skills (Premiere Pro, iMovie, or similar).
  • Experience with email-marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact ,Mailchimp).
  • Exposure to brand-governance or style-guide enforcement.

  • Data-curious: comfortable interpreting metrics and translating them into action.
  • Organized multitasker able to juggle shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confident interpersonal communicator—able to interview executives and frontline staff alike.

Supervisory Duties

None. This is an individual-contributor role; however, the Marketing Intern will coordinate with agency partners and may mentor interns.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in an office setting with standard typing, standing, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs.) for event materials. Occasional evening or weekend work is expected. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
