Property Tax Consultant
Property Tax Consultant Role and Responsibilities:
- Covering multiple Texas counties for Commercial, Residential and Agricultural properties. Some travel out of town, overnight for internal and client meetings.
- Analyze property tax appeal information and prepare evidence for valuation, agricultural and other exemption denial protest hearings.
- Research market data and sales and maintain our internal sales database.
- Work with various county appraisers to negotiate client values and appear before the Appraisal Review Board as required.
- File and work arbitrations to a conclusion as necessary.
- Assist clients and their attorneys with lawsuits against appraisal districts as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential clients with prompt, concise communication.
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Licensed Property Tax Consultant, General Certified Appraiser or Registered Professional Appraiser.
- Experience as a Property Tax Consultant, Registered Professional Appraiser, or Licensed Fee Appraiser.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively.
- Work independently and demonstrate initiative to accomplish goals.
- Strong problem solving and investigative skills.
- Time management skills.
Work Hours and Benefits:
- In-office hours, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (some weekends)
