Graphic design/content creation for global music education program

All Around This World -- http://www.ExploreEverywhere.com -- is global music and world cultures educational program for young children (infants to 9 year-olds) and their families. Philadelphia-based music teacher Jay Sand  founded the project in 2009, and over many years has created an interactive music curriculum for children that introduces kids to the world through singing, dancing and FUN. In 2024 All Around This World launched The Global Orchestra -- http://www.theGlobalOrchestra.org -- a dynamic multicultural performance and education project that expands AATW's reach to all-ages, bringing together musicians from all over the world to play concerts together and teach about their traditions through concerts and interactive workshops.

All Around This World is seeking students with graphic design interests who LOVE music to work with us throughout the summer of 2026 to create/curate content for our All Around this World (children's world music education) and Global Orchestra (all-ages world music celebration) sites. Interns will create materials for our Montessori classroom curriculum as well as posts about global music genres, traditional instruments and extraordinary culture-bearing performers, etc. With AATW's guidance, interns may also work with us to compile our existing research, particularly about instruments, songs and genres, into active lesson plans for kids.

Students will work remotely with AATW founder and lead teacher Jay Sand and his co-teachers, putting in a number of hours each week that the student will determine; we will develop a schedule that fits your summer. Communication will primarily take place via e-mail and Zoom.

No previous curriculum development experience required. We're seeking someone with graphic design interests and ideally some abilities, but you don't have to have much in the way of experience. We're assuming you already use Canva, but we also use Adobe InDesign to make some of our lessons

This internship is unpaid, but we will actively support successful interns with recommendations and other work references. We will also enthusiastically support students in working with their university to receive credit for this internship within their school's system and/or any stipends the university offers.

Direct inquiries to Jay Sand at jay@allaroundthisworld.com, 215-913-2679. You may apply through Handshake, but when you do we'll ask you to e-mail jay@allaroundthisworld.com to say a bit about what inspired you to apply for this internship. So if you want to cut out a step, feel free to e-mail us directly.
