Safety Intern

Job Title: Safety Intern 

Location: Houston, TX 
 

 
 Position Summary: 

The Safety Intern will support the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team in promoting a safe and compliant workplace. This role provides hands-on experience in safety programs, compliance initiatives, and risk management activities within an industrial or corporate setting. 

 
 Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. 
• Help maintain and update safety documentation, training records, and compliance reports. 
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis. 
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Assist in developing and delivering safety training materials. 
• Perform data entry and analysis related to safety metrics and trends. 
• Collaborate with team members on special projects related to EHS programs. 

 
 Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

 
 Preferred Skills: 

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards. 
• Previous internship or coursework in safety or environmental compliance.
