MLBPA Summer Internship Program

 

 

Position Description: The MLBPA Summer Internship program is a 9-week summer internship program running from June 15 through to August 14 for college/university students graduating in 2026 or 2027 (rising Junior or Senior) for the following departments: Operations, Finance, Graphic Design- Communications, Information Technology, Non-Profit, and Human Resources. 

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): 

Communications, Graphic Design:

  • Create graphics for social media, websites, and email that align with brand identity.
  • Develop designs using tools like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Tailor visuals for digital platforms, print, and multimedia projects.
  • Experience with Adobe design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom

Operations:

  • Assist with research and strategic processes for our main office, Arizona, and the Dominican Republic.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Operations and the operations team with operational duties in our New York City Office. 

 

Information Technology:

  • Will learn and assist with day-to-day user Help Desk support. 

 

Finance 

  • Assist in operational Finance activities with management.
  • Support process documentation efforts.
  • Assist in other projects as required.

 

Non-Profit

  • Programs & Operations: Assist with day-to-day operations, program planning, and data entry.
  • Research & Special Projects: Research relevant social issues, policies, or topics that support the organization’s advocacy efforts.
  • Events: Assist in organizing, planning, or events. 

 

Human Resources:

  • Assist the HR Department with general administrative duties
  • Will assist the HR department with the development of our onboarding process and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • All Applicants must have a graduation date of 2026 or 2027 in the major that would relate to the internship. 
  • All interns are expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as reliable attendance and punctuality records. Must commit to the full 9 weeks. No days off. 
  • Possible questions about the company include what you know about MLBPA and all its affiliates. Applicants must answer these questions honestly and authentically by reflecting on relevant experiences such as previous volunteer work and research experiences in school. 
  • Those applying to the Digital Communications, Graphic Design internship will need to submit a resume, cover letter, and a portfolio or examples of their digital media work. 

 

Location:  New York City Office – This role is hybrid, and you are required to come into our office to work 3 days a week while working 2 days remotely.

Salary:  $25.00 per hour
