Job Description
Oversees day-to-day operations of the college, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness while optimizing use of available resources and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Provides leadership and supervision for various departments within the college. Working with the President, supports the development and monitoring of the college budget. Serves as the liaison for the IT Department. With district support, coordinates and serves as liaison for external vendors for the college. Provides leadership for the college's approach to safety and security. Works with the SCC President, EICC Director of Facilities, and SCC Maintenance Manager on facilities planning and project construction. Serves on the SCC Leadership Team to participate in institutional planning and problem solving.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a background in administration, leadership, or related experience required. Must have a high degree of technical fiscal skills and knowledge of accounting and business practices. Experience preparing and managing multiple budgets required. Supervisory experience required. Strong organizational skills required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree preferred.
Experience with educational and business partnerships preferred.
Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to traverse the entire campus, including multiple buildings and the wooded areas.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Campus Operations Duties:1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the college and SCC Main Campus specifically, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness while optimizing use of available resources and compliance with all relevant law, regulations, policies, and procedures.2. Supervise and evaluate ancillary services, and employees providing these services for the college including the Evening College Assistant, Information Desk, Mailroom, and copier functions. Set schedules to assure the highest level of service to customers.3. Serve as the campus liaison to the appropriate district-level supervisors, sharing the college's needs for the functions and personnel in the Business Office, Campus Store, and Maintenance Department. Provide input in the setting of schedules to assure the highest level of service to customers.4. Work with the appropriate district-level supervisors, to provide campus-level support in the supervision of the personnel in the Business Office, Campus Store, and Maintenance Department.5. Serve as the contact for the college's auxiliary associates such as our food service vendors and housekeeping vendor.6. Under the supervision of the SCC President and EICC designees, prepare contracts with our auxiliary services.7. Working with the EICC Associate Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management, provide leadership with the college's approach to safety and security, including scheduling and training AOCs and updating our Emergency Preparedness booklet.8. Act as the on-scene contact responsible for coordinating with assisting agencies, law enforcement, and other emergency response agencies. This includes assisting with emergencies and student concerns as needed.9. Serve as the college representative for insurance-related incidents including accidents and thefts.10. Supervise the SCC Resource Officer and provide direction on the college's training needs. Act as the liaison to the Scott County Sheriff's Department.11. Oversee building key and passcard inventory, distribution, and collection for all college staff.12. Provide oversight for the rental of facilities by external partners and college transfer partners with lease agreements.13. Work with SCC Leadership, HR, and IT to support efficient onboarding of new employees with their assignment of telephones/headsets, technology arrangements, nametags, badges, keys, office furniture, and signage.14. Maintain equipment inventory for the college.15. Establish and maintain communication systems within the college.16. Oversee completion of all necessary campus reports to the District Office and other agencies.17. Provide leadership and supervise the development and management of the physical plant.18. Support the EICC Director of Facilities and provide input on the management of outside contractor projects of the college for facilities renovations, remodeling, and building renovations. This includes providing support in the development of college contracts and the bidding of equipment or services.19. Assist with maintenance and administration of the SCC capital renewal project list and budget.20. Develop with the President and administer the total college budget within the framework of the districtwide activities.21. Work with the Maintenance Department and other resources to provide guidance to the President on facility-related school closures.General Duties:1. Assist the President with special projects as needed.2. Support the EICC mission, vision and Strategic Plan.3. Maintain effective and timely communication with all members of the college community.4. Provide quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.5. Serve on college and district level committees, councils, and teams.6. Is accessible by cellphone to the College at all times, except during authorized holidays and approved vacation, personal, and sick leave.7. Perform other duties as assigned.
