Purpose of Role
This Athlete Marketing - Team Sports Grassroots position exists to support and drive the execution of SPOMA grassroots strategy in North America. This role supports the management of an $8M+ Grassroots (GR) portfolio and partners closely with external agencies to drive execution of the GR strategy. The role leads door-to-door (D2D) relationships and conversations tied to the development, planning, management, and execution of the grassroots strategic plan, in close collaboration with internal and external partners. Additionally, the role oversees and manages additional grassroots partnerships to ensure alignment and impact.
Your Impact
• Lead the planning and execution of all SPOMA grassroots activations.
• Partner closely with the UA Brand team and grassroots partners to advance marketing and product initiatives aligned to brand priorities and the SPOMA grassroots strategy.
• Manage internal and external partners to ensure strong collaboration and on-time delivery against the grassroots strategic plan.
• Oversee on-site presence, look, and execution for all grassroots activations, ensuring a consistent and premium brand experience.
• Collaborate with UA Product teams to develop and execute a comprehensive product plan in support of SPOMA grassroots initiatives.
• Own and manage all additional grassroots partnerships to drive alignment, impact, and results.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or Typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree
• Bachelor's Degree - Business Marketing, focus in Sports
• 5+ years significant sports marketing experience
• Proficient in Microsoft office and keynote
• Strong understanding on the target consumer and the grassroots landscape
• Ability to manage/create strong authentic relationships, internally/externally
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Create and deliver effective presentations/ event recaps to diverse audiences
• Anticipate potential issues and proactively solve problems
• Knowledgeable to make decision that are in the best interest of the strategic plan.
• Ability to manage a budget
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and a willingness to travel

Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office. -
Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation
$100,000.00-$125,000.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
