Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Secretary to support our attorneys and ensure the smooth operation of the office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and experience in a legal or professional office setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

Schedule and coordinate appointments, court dates, and meetings.

Answer and direct phone calls and respond to client inquiries professionally.

Maintain and organize case files, both paper and electronic.

Assist attorneys with time management and deadline tracking.

Perform general administrative duties such as billing, data entry, and mail processing.

Liaise with courts, clients, and opposing counsel as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a legal environment preferred.

Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with case management software.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
