Summer Internship Opportunity-Operations and Human Resources

Operations and Human Resources (HR) Internship

The Operations Division is seeking a detail‑oriented, motivated intern to support both Operations and Human Resources.  This internship is ideal for students interested in Human Resources, Operations, talent acquisition, or organizational management.  The selected intern will serve 4 weeks in the Human Resources department and 4 weeks in the Operations department.

What You’ll Do
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job posting coordination and new‑hire documentation
• Maintain employee files and update HR databases
• Help organize HR data, records, and compliance documentation
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team
• Create a Box Hub to house all the necessary documents for the Summer Intern Program
• Assist with active procurement and Request for Proposal (RFP) projects, including administrative support, coordination support, and file organization
• Assist with asset inventory scanning, labeling/verification, and updates to inventory records.
• Support contract extension administration activities for the new fiscal year

What You’ll Learn
• HR policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
• Hands‑on experience with HR systems (HRIS, ATS, document management tools)
• Exposure to multiple HR functions and participation in meetings, trainings, and workshops.
• Ongoing mentorship and feedback from HR and Operation professionals
• Overview of key processes (procurement/RFP workflow, inventory basics, contract administration basics)
• Exposure to Legal and Council support
• Professional communication and workplace expectations

Qualifications
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong data entry accuracy
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Interest in recruitment, onboarding, or HR operations
