Status: Independent Contractor / Flexible Part-Time (Scaling to Full-Time)

The Mission: Geekmatics. is a high-volume repair center in Palm Harbor, and we are ready to scale our onsite service department. We are looking for a field-ready expert to be the face of our company. This is a high-autonomy role for a pro who can walk into a local business or high-end residence, assess a complex networking or server issue, and solve the problem with total confidence.

Who This Role Is Perfect For: This is an ideal opportunity for an established IT professional, specialized freelancer, or veteran looking to add a high-revenue stream to their current portfolio. Because we are in the aggressive "ramp-up" phase of our onsite division, this role begins with flexible, on-call volume that is designed to scale into a full-time leadership position as we dominate the local market.

The Compensation (The "Builder" Model): We reward expertise. This role features a performance-based split designed to reward efficiency:

  • High Labor Split: Receive a percentage of the total labor invoiced 
  • Travel Fee Split: Direct participation in travel fees collected for every dispatch.
  • Sales Commission: Earn a percentage on all parts and software sales generated in the field.
  • Expansion Bonus: Specific bonuses for new business and new clients you bring into the Geekmatics ecosystem.

Professional Standards & Appearance: Because you are representing a premium brand in professional environments, we maintain high standards:

  • Professional Presence: You must maintain a clean, professional appearance. A crisp, "expert" look is required to justify our service call standards.
  • Authorized Representation: Willingness to carry and display a Geekmatics-provided Partner ID badge at all times for security and brand continuity.
  • Communication: Ability to translate "tech-speak" into clear, helpful language for our clients.
  • Logistics: Must have a professional-grade toolkit and a clean, reliable vehicle with insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Geekmatics exclusively while on dispatch—no co-branding.
  • Deploy and support business networking, server infrastructure, and complex residential IT.
  • Collaborate with our internal shop team at our Palm Harbor HQ to transition walk-in clients into long-term onsite service agreements.
  • Ambition to move into a management role as we expand across Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough Counties.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in computer repair; be able to set up a network, troubleshoot any problems a computer has, and then be able to fix the computer.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot any network problem in a residence or a business.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Clean Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Must be self-managed and capable of handling field work without a supervisor.
