Elementary Principal
Position: Elementary School Principal
Duties: Administer assigned school in accordance with Wyoming law, Wyoming Department of Education rules and regulations, Board policy, ESSA requirements, and directives of the Board of Trustees and Superintendent; serve as member of the District’s administrative team
Serve as instructional leader in a standards-based learning environment and instructional setting; maintain a positive school climate; provide clinical supervision and evaluation of all programs and personnel in assigned school using a collaborative approach to meet the needs of all students.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (in school administration)
- Eligibility for a Standard Administrative Certificate with endorsement of Principal K-12 as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board
- Expertise in instructional leadership, curriculum design, and clinical supervision
- Successful classroom teaching experience at the elementary level preferred
- Demonstrated record as an effective communicator that is accessible to students, staff, and public
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork and team building; strong organizational and delegation skills
- Demonstrated history of personal scholarship, a collaborative leadership style, a sense of humor, and personal/professional ethics and integrity
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and focus staff on relevant issues/challenges and provide leadership and supervision in a standards-based curriculum
- Knowledge of current elementary instructional research/concepts, special education, standards- based education, alternative assessment, conflict resolution skills, communication skills, leadership theory, and collaborative learning communities
- Elementary administrative experience with an emphasis on leading a professional learning community is highly preferred
Employment Term: Full-time during 2026-2027 school year plus four (4) weeks – 205-day contract. The possibility exists for a supplemental contract for transition and training during the summer.
Salary: District Administrative Index Salary Schedule plus benefits (minimum salary $96,640.00)
Beginning Date: 2026-2027 reporting date – July 23, 2026 (with training before this date)
