Structural Intern

The Structural Intern/Co-Op will work as a member of a design team on multiple projects serving clients such as NYSDOT,
NYCDOT, NYSTA, MTA C&D – NYCT/LIRR/MNR, and PANYNJ. The position includes preparing plans, conducting
detailed drawing/calculation checks, preparing estimates, and performing quantity take-offs for projects of varying sizes
and complexity. The Structures Department has a wide range of infrastructure projects, including new bridge design,
bridge rehabilitation, station work, and inspection work. The candidate will need to be a self-motivated individual who
utilizes the highest level of professionalism while performing engineering assignments and works well in a team.
 

Preferred Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or a graduate Structural Engineering program.
2+ years completed toward degree.
3.00 GPA or higher preferred.
Attention to detail is a must.
Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Students with at least one prior internship in the A/E industry preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preference will be given to local candidates.
