As our Associate General Dentist, you will diagnose and treat oral health issues (e.g., decay removal, fillings, root canals, crowns) while providing preventive care like cleanings. You'll educate patients on hygiene, interpret X-rays, prescribe medications, and use tools from traditional drills to advanced lasers to maintain and restore teeth, gums, and overall oral health.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose conditions and perform treatments including cleanings, root canals, surgical extractions, implants, and more
- Collaborate with hygienists, assistants, and team members to deliver comprehensive care
- Refer patients to specialists for surgery or orthodontics as needed
- Take impressions and prepare prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, plates, and implants
- Maintain accurate patient records, medical histories, billing, and insurance documentation
- Stay current on dental procedures, technologies, and best practices
- Lead and mentor hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff
- Communicate clearly and compassionately to educate patients on oral health and options
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Active Maine dental license (or eligibility to obtain via endorsement)
- Excellent manual dexterity, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with dental software, electronic health records, digital imaging, and modern technologies
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and continuous professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in general dentistry (private practice or clinical; new graduates warmly welcomed)
- Advanced training in procedures like implants or lasers
- Membership in professional associations (e.g., ADA, MDA)
