Dental Hygienist

Lincoln Smiles Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about excellent patient care, thrives in a collaborative team environment, contributes to a positive workplace culture, and is eager to grow professionally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
  • Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
  • Take and develop dental imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Review and update dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental office systems such as Eaglesoft. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Active Maine Dental Hygiene License
  • Radiology Certification (Preferred)
  • Local Anesthesia Certification (Preferred)
  • Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical documentation and patient assessment
  • Familiarity with dental office systems such as Eaglesoft. 
  • Ability to take and develop dental x-rays
  • Strong communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene practices
  • Attention to detail for accurate documentation of patient records
  • Ability to work well in a team environment alongside dentists and other dental and office professionals
  • Knowledge of vital signs and medical records management
