Supply Chain Intern

Job Title: Supply Chain Intern        

Pay: $20 an hour

Internship Duration: 5/13/2026 - 8/14/2026

Job Summary 

Reporting to the MP & L Manager, the Supply Chain Intern will assist the operations within a manufacturing environment, providing valuable exposure to procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.

 

 Responsibility 

  • Cycle counter areas.
  • Assist with purchasing activities including supplier communication, quote comparisons, and purchase order preparation.
  • Support inventory management through data entry, stock checks, and reconciliation of raw material and finished goods.
  • Participate in production planning by helping track material availability and scheduling needs for foundry operations.
  • Monitor logistics and shipping processes, assisting with tracking deliveries, expediting orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze data to support continuous improvement projects, including cost reduction, waste minimization, and lead-time improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, engineering, finance) to ensure supply chain efficiency.
  • Providing root cause for inventory that does not meet standards.
  • Provide general administrative support to the MP& L team.
  • Work collaboratively with other summer interns to develop and deliver a final presentation of project outcomes and recommendations to the HR team and upper management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Academic/Educational Requirements 

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related field.

 

Required Skills/Experience 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to team projects.
