Marketing Intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team in the marketing department.  Merit Brass has been a part of the Pipe, Valve, and Fittings (PVF) industry for over 85 years. 

This role offers hands-on experience in B2B marketing, supporting campaigns and initiatives that promote our products and services to wholesale distributor customers. Ideal for a high school or college student eager to learn about marketing strategies, content creation, and customer engagement in a B2B environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in editing marketing materials, such as brochures, product datasheets, flyers tailored to PVF industry clients
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target markets to support marketing strategies
  • Help manage and update website content with guidance from the marketing director. 
  • Support the organization of the department’s storage spaces
  • Compile basic data from marketing campaigns (e.g., email open rates, website traffic) to assist in performance reporting
  • Perform marketing administrative tasks such as maintaining contact lists, scheduling posts, and organizing digital assets
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns
  • Facilitate the compilation and dissemination of catalogs to customers
  • Research & procure promotional goods & office supplies
  • Help add subtitles to videos on YouTube

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Current high school or college student with an interest in marketing, business, or communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting
  • Curiosity about B2B industries (no prior PVF experience required—willingness to learn is key)
  • Reliable, organized, and eager to take on new challenges
