Role Summary
Burke Music Academy is seeking a highly creative, execution-driven Social Media, Advertising & Creative Design Manager to own BMA’s digital presence end-to-end. This role is for someone who does the work—not just oversees it.
You will be responsible for shooting, editing, designing, posting, and optimizing content across platforms to grow visibility, enrollment, and brand authority. The ideal candidate understands how to translate high-level artistic training into compelling, accessible, and consistent digital storytelling.
This is a hands-on role requiring in-person content capture in Atlanta.
Core Responsibilities
Content Creation (Primary Responsibility)
Shoot high-quality photo and video content on-site:
Lessons, rehearsals, performances, behind-the-scenes moments
Faculty features, student spotlights, testimonials
Edit short-form and long-form content for:
Instagram (Reels, Stories, grid)
TikTok
YouTube Shorts / YouTube
Facebook (as needed)
Create branded graphics, thumbnails, and promotional visuals consistent with BMA identity
Social Media Management & Posting
Plan, schedule, and publish content across platforms
Write compelling captions and calls-to-action aligned with BMA’s voice
Maintain a consistent posting cadence
Monitor comments, DMs, and engagement (in coordination with leadership)
Advertising & Growth
Design and manage paid social ads (Meta, Instagram, YouTube as applicable)
Promote:
Enrollment periods
Programs, intensives, and performances
Events and announcements
Track performance metrics and adjust creative strategy accordingly
Brand & Creative Direction
Maintain visual and narrative consistency across all platforms
Translate BMA’s mission—holistic, business-forward artist training—into digital content
Collaborate with leadership on campaigns, launches, and seasonal initiatives
Required Qualifications
Proven experience shooting, editing, and publishing content for social media
Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
Strong graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent)
Deep understanding of social media trends, formats, and platform algorithms
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Comfort working in artistic and educational environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in music, performing arts, education, or creative industries
Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok growth strategies, and short-form video storytelling
Experience running paid ads and analyzing basic performance metrics
Local to Atlanta with reliable transportation
Compensation
Competitive hourly or monthly contract rate, based on experience
Paid per shoot day, deliverable package, or monthly retainer (to be determined)
