Business Development Representative

About the Role

We’re hiring a BDR/SDR focused on outbound prospecting for ERP consulting services, with an emphasis on Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), ERP modernization, and operational transformation.

This is a phone-first outbound role, supported by structured email and LinkedIn outreach. You’ll engage operations, finance, and IT leaders at distribution and manufacturing companies to uncover ERP pain, qualify fit, and book high-quality discovery calls.

This is not a transactional SaaS role. These are complex, high-value consulting conversations.

What You’ll Do

Make high-volume outbound cold calls to ERP prospects

Execute sequenced outbound outreach combining:

Cold calling

Personalized email outreach

LinkedIn follow-ups

Prospect into distribution and manufacturing companies

Engage decision-makers including:

COO / VP Operations

CFO / Controller

CIO / IT Director

Supply Chain, Warehouse, and IT leadership

Qualify prospects based on:

Current ERP (P21, NAV, SAP, Infor, legacy systems)

Growth, acquisitions, or private-equity ownership

Operational and financial pain (inventory, reporting, WMS, order flow, close)

Authority, urgency, and timing

Book qualified discovery meetings for senior ERP consultants

Maintain accurate CRM records for calls, emails, and follow-ups

Learn ERP and consulting concepts well enough to diagnose pain — not pitch software

What Success Looks Like

Consistent daily call and email activity

Strong connect and reply rates

Qualified ERP discovery meetings booked weekly

High-quality CRM notes sales can rely on

Clear communication of prospect pain and business drivers

Requirements

1–3+ years as a BDR/SDR in ERP, SaaS, or professional services

Comfortable with cold calling and cold emailing — both are required

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to hold credible conversations with executive-level buyers

Resilient, disciplined, and self-motivated

Coachable and process-oriented in a remote environment

Strong Plus

Experience selling ERP, WMS, or consulting services

Familiarity with Epicor Prophet 21 or distribution ERPs

Experience with private-equity-backed or acquisitive companies

Understanding of long-cycle, high-ticket consulting sales ($50k–$500k+)

Compensation

Base salary + commission per qualified meeting
