Assistant Enrichment Instructor - Position Overview
The Assistant Instructor supports the Lead Instructor in delivering engaging STEM lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This role is ideal for college students, aspiring educators, or individuals who enjoy working with children and supporting hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students during LEGO builds and STEM activities
- Assist with classroom management and student engagement
- Help with setup and cleanup of materials and classroom space
- Provide individual student support as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and fun learning environment
- Follow direction from the Lead Instructor and support lesson flow
Qualifications
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to Lexington-area sites
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Organized, dependable, and team-oriented
Compensation & Growth
- $30–$35/hour blended rate
- Performance and end-of-cycle bonuses
- Opportunity to grow into Lead Instructor role
- Priority access to additional sessions as sites expand
