HawkCard Assistant - Summer and/or Fall 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay

Position Summary  

The HawkCard Assistant plays a vital role in the production, distribution, and use of HawkCards for all students, faculty, and staff. This position also involves managing meal plans, Dining Dollars, and Purple Point sales and services. The HawkCard Assistant must communicate in a positive, friendly, and pleasant manner.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be a registered UW-Whitewater student enrolled at least half-time. 
  • Required to work during all academic breaks. 
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • A sincere desire to provide excellent customer service is essential.

Tasks 

All UC Employees:

  1. Uphold UC’s service pillars of experience, courtesy, inclusion, efficiency, and safety.
  2. Follow UC Student Employee Guidelines
  3. Participate and complete onboarding, UC-wide Orientation, and training.

Position Specific:

  • Must be able to answer phones and emails
  • Must be available to work some weekends and holidays as requested
  • Must have a positive, friendly, and pleasant manner.
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service.

Additional Requirement(s) (Meetings/Training/Event Staffing)

  1. Must be able to work a majority of Warhawk SOARs throughout the year.

  • Intellectual and Practical Skills: Communication and Customer Service - Assist customers in selecting and making changes to their meal plans. - Develop teamwork skills and effective communication through customer service interactions. - Provide accurate information in response to inquiries about dining dollars and Purple Point accounts. - Produce and distribute new and replacement University ID cards for students, faculty, and staff. - Process requests for meal plan changes and deposits to Purple Point and dining dollar accounts.
