As a Fan Experience Intern, you will receive comprehensive training that builds on your classroom knowledge and academic experience, closely supervised by experienced professionals. You will engage in real-world projects, gaining insights into the techniques and strategies of fan engagement and event management.
Key Learning Areas
- Creative Collaboration: Learn to conceptualize and execute engaging game day promotions, theme nights, and fan activities, enhancing your ability to create memorable fan experiences.
- Event Organization: Gain experience in setting up giveaways, coordinating guest appearances, and managing in-game entertainment, understanding the logistics and planning behind successful events.
- Kids Zone Management: Develop skills in managing the Kids Zone, ensuring a fun, family-friendly environment that keeps our younger fans thrilled.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Director of Promotions to plan and organize both pre-season and in-season activities, learning how to create a comprehensive promotional strategy.
- Leadership Skills: Guide and mentor game day promotions interns, building a cohesive and effective team, and developing your leadership and team management abilities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Event Planning, Marketing, or a related field.
- Passionate about sports and fan engagement.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Natural leadership abilities and a knack for team management.
- Creative mindset with a love for bringing fresh, engaging ideas to the fan experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently under pressure.
- Available to join the team during games, events, and practices, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be fulfilling academic credit requirements for the internship.
