CLASSIFICATION: Children's Client Service Manager

PAY GRADE: $62,726.33 - $77,200.86 Annually

$3,000 Recruitment Bonus for Clinical Bachelor level new hires!! ($1,000 paid at start, $1,000 paid after 3 months, and $1,000 paid after successful probation period.)

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  

 

POSITION SUMMARY:                     

Under general supervision of Mental Health Supervisor (Children or Infant Services), provides case management to consumers (minor children and their families) who are receiving Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority (SCCMHA) services. This position will address varying level of need based on consumer population and specific to team assignment (Children or Infant Services). Consumer age range includes prenatal to 21 years). Utilizing a family/person centered planning process develops an individual plan of service/supports containing goals, objectives and methodologies to assist consumer to remain in the least restrictive community setting and meet treatment guidelines. Ensures plan is implemented correctly and monitors plan for effectiveness and consumer/family satisfaction. Coordinates necessary services, assesses progress, and provides written documentation to support billing. This position will be knowledgeable about and actively support culturally competent recovery based practices; person centered planning as a shared decision making process with the individual, who defines his/her life goals and is assisted in developing a unique path toward those goals; and a trauma informed culture of safety to aid consumer in the recovery process.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

Works in homes of consumers/families and provides therapeutic services to assigned consumer as a member of a clinical team. Close contact with consumers/families whom may be hostile, aggressive and potentially violent. Frequently drives automobile in all kind of weather conditions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:      

Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited school.

Experience:    

A minimum of one (1) year supervised experience preferred in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families, and specific to target population of team assignment (Children or Infant Services). Training and experience necessary for understanding of developmental theories, clinical theories, and treatment interventions as dictated by age range of consumer population. Experience interfacing with special education system and respite programs preferable.

Degree/Licenses:    

Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human services field and/or limited licensed bachelor of Social Work (LLBSW), licensed bachelor of Social Work (LBSW).

Must have ability to obtain the Endorsement Level I by the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health within 2 years of hire.
