Warhawk Pantry Assistant - Summer and/or Fall 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay
Position Summary
The Warhawk Pantry Assistant supports the campus Food Pantry by providing food, personal care items, and resources in a confidential and inclusive environment. Duties include assisting clients, coordinating with donors and volunteers, tracking data, managing inventory, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Assistants work one open-hours and one stocking shift weekly; pantry hours are 2–5 p.m., three days a week during the academic year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient ability in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other Warhawk Pantry staff and volunteers
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to climb a ladder for stocking of shelves
Tasks

Position Specific:
- Delivers excellent customer service with confidentiality, sensitivity, and inclusivity to create a welcoming, safe environment.
- Manages inventory by restocking, tracking shortages, monitoring expirations, and maintaining accurate data in the Pantry Key Stats spreadsheet.
- Leads and trains volunteers to ensure high-quality service and compliance with food safety standards.
- Connects clients with campus and community resources, providing knowledgeable and supportive assistance.
- Completes all required Feeding America food safety training; attends pantry training and monthly staff meetings.
- Contributes ideas to improve operations and promote the pantry through social media, events, and marketing efforts.
