Graphic Design Intern - Summer and/or Fall 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay

Position Summary  

The University Center (UC) Graphic Design Interns at UW-Whitewater play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the UC's visual identity. They create compelling designs using the Adobe Creative Cloud that reflect the UC brand and promote its events and services. Interns are also responsible for printing, trimming, and distributing materials, while utilizing the UC’s large-format printer to ensure high-quality results.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must have working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Tasks 

All UC Employees:

  1. Uphold UC’s service pillars of experience, courtesy, inclusion, efficiency, and safety.
  2. Follow UC Student Employee Guidelines
  3. Participate and complete onboarding, UC-wide Orientation, and training.

Position Specific:

  • Design graphics for the University Center which include posters, digital signage, social media images, large format prints and more
  • Handle printing and trimming of materials for the UC and other campus departments
  • Manage multiple projects via Trello (project management tool) while keeping track of design and printing deadlines
  • Assist in maintaining the UC brand and logo integrity by ensuring alignment with UW-Whitewater’s Identity Standards.
  • Attend & photograph UC events when needed
  • Keep files organized and easy to find by following naming and organization guidelines

Additional Requirement(s) (Meetings/Training/Event Staffing)

  1. Attend Fall & Spring Unit Trainings and Monthly Unit Meetings
  2. Availability to Work over Summer and Winter Break
