Human Resources Intern
RJM Construction is looking for an HR Intern with high potential, who is ready to own their impact in the HR department. As an HR Intern, you will learn how to promote and maintain positive employee relations and gain various insights into HR. Varied aspects of human resources and projects including:
o Employee relations, retention and engagement
o Recruiting/events
o Onboarding and orientation
o DEI, Employee Engagement and other Committee work
o HR data analytics
o Compensation and payroll
o Compliance
o Performance management
o On-the-job HR tasks and initiatives
o HR initiatives and continuous improvement through an intern project
Preferred Education:
- Pursuing a degree in HR, HR Management, Labor Relations, or a related field, OR have completed a degree/certificate in HR.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding HR matters, including, but not limited to payroll, benefits, and employee issues
- Experienced with Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Access). Paycom/HRIS systems are a plus
