Job Title: Engineering Intern
Location: Houston, Texas
Job Summary:
The Engineering Intern will assist the engineering team with various tasks and projects, gaining hands-on experience in applying engineering principles in a professional setting. Specific responsibilities and focus areas will be determined based on the needs of the department and ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support engineering projects through design, analysis, testing, and documentation.
- Assist with data collection, reporting, and technical research.
- Collaborate with team members on problem-solving and process improvements.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to project planning.
- Implement visual management in our production lines, support implementation and sustainment of 5S routines and audit at some production lines
- Improve our reports for data analysis
- Build a database system/platform that compiles all our different reports coming from different sources
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or Supply Chain related field.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CAD or other engineering software.
- Knowledge of SQL, Phyton, Power Apps, DAX
- Previous internship or project experience.
